Abstract

Corona mortis (CM) variant can be the cause of significant bleeding in trauma, pelvic surgery and may be a cause of pelvic bleeding following femoral venous access. The primary objective of this study is to find the incidence of the CM variant. The secondary objective is to characterize the course of the inferior epigastric artery (IEA) and its relationship with the common femoral vein in patients with the CM variant versus those without the variant.
