Abstract

N-butyl cyanoacrylate glue (NBCA) is being used more frequently for embolization of active arterial bleeding, vascular abnormalities, and arteriovenous malformations due to either an inability to advance the catheter distal to the site of abnormality, multiple feeding vessels, or coagulopathy. However, reports that evaluate the safety, efficacy, and complications of this technique are limited. The aim of this retrospective review is to assess the safety and efficacy of glue for arterial embolization.
