Abstract
Post embolization syndrome following uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) manifests as severe cramping pain that lasts about 5-7 days. Superior hypogastric nerve block (SHNB) with bupivacaine has been demonstrated to significantly reduce pain after UFE but has a duration of effect of only 8-12 hours.
