Abstract

Adrenal vein sampling (AVS) is the gold-standard to determine laterality of primary aldosteronism. AVS remains a technically challenging procedure with high variability in techniques and success rates. Studies have suggested that cosyntropin stimulation may reduce non-diagnostic studies. However, concerns of impaired lateralization persist and cosyntropin stimulation remains controversial. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the effect of cosyntropin stimulation using our thorough adrenal vein sampling technique (TAVST).
