Abstract

Systemic arterial supply to the lungs can be seen in a spectrum of congenital or acquired disease. It can present with varied clinical manifestations or be diagnosed incidentally. Although conventional approach to therapy has been surgical, there have been early reports of therapeutic embolization of systemic arterial supply in form of sequestration in infants and neonates. In this article we will present cases of therapeutic embolization of systemic arterial supply in adults that presented with massive hemoptysis, which are among the first reported cases in literature.
