Abstract

Benzamide riboside (BR) induces apoptosis in numerous tumor cell lines. This study compares hepatic intra-arterial (IA) BR to intravenous (IV) BR for inducing apoptosis and tumor response in rodent hepatomas one day after treatment. Water apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) as well as single-quantum (SQ) and triple-quantum-filtered (TQF) 23Na MRI were evaluated for monitoring tumor response one day after IA BR.
