Abstract

The role of mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for acute sub-massive pulmonary embolism (PE) has not been well studied. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine if MT for sub-massive PE positively impacts length of hospital stay (LOS), ICU stay (ICU LOS), readmission rate, and in-hospital mortality when compared with conservative therapy.
