Abstract

The goals of the project were to develop and implement a web-enhanced interactive IR training manual to shift preclinical education from a teacher-centered experience to a student-driven experience. The manual could also be used as resource for practicing Interventional Radiologists. The Blackboard Learning System (BLS) provides a platform for delivery of content and facilitates online interaction between students and instructor. Podcasting provides a personalized virtual classroom feel to the content delivery and allows for inclusion of media formats that deliver complex concepts in a more graphically accessible fashion.
