Abstract

Transjugular liver biopsy and intravascular pressure measurement is utilized to detect the presence of post-liver transplant complications, including congestive hepatopathy (CH). Hepatic venous anastomotic pressure gradients are conventionally utilized as part of clinical decision making in patients with suspected CH in addition to histologic manifestations within the liver biopsy specimen. This study aimed to determine if the free hepatic venous to right atrial pressure gradient correlated with the histologic diagnosis of CH.
