Abstract
Some authors have used computational modeling to identify the juxtarenal position as the optimal placement location for Celect IVC filters due to the presence of high shear stress and flow velocity. Others have called into question the assumptions made in the computational model. The purpose of our study is to evaluate the relationship between presence of trapped Celect IVC filter thrombus and juxtarenal and infrarenal filter positioning at retrieval.
