Abstract

Performance technologists consider motivational, environmental, and knowledge deficiencies as they diagnose causes of performance problems. Environmental factors are assumed to include equipment, space, and ergonomic considerations to name a few. Andrew Smith and Miles extend our understanding of the effects on performance of an often overlooked environmental factor - lunch, in their study: “The Effects of Lunch on Cognitive Vigilance Tasks.”
