Abstract
In the emergency department (ED), patients often demonstrate hyperglycemia regardless of the reason for presentation to the ED. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the risk of all-cause hospital revisits (including ED) within 30 days among patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) with severe hyperglycemia and discharged from the ED compared to patients with DM discharged from the ED with normal glucose or moderate hyperglycemia.
