Abstract

Background and aims: To explore the influence on feeding intolerance by early nursing intervention in premature babies. Aims: To explore the influence on feeding intolerance by early nursing intervention in premature babies. Methods: 122 premature infants who meet the conditions were randomly divided into 2 groups, the observation group with 61 cases and the control group with 61 cases. In the observation group, we adopt non nutritive sucking for 5 minutes before feeding(the non nutritive sucking is only implemented in the gastric tube feeding),give massage in umbilical around for 10 minutes each time, two times a day,and raise the upper body 30°, right lateral decubitus position for half an hour? The control group got no extra nursing intervention measures during feeding. The two groups of patients were given normal treatments such as keeping warm, prevention of infection, nutrition support and so on. Compare the incidence of feeding intolerance of the two groups and do statistical analysis. Results: Gastric retention occurred 19.7% in the observation group, and 37.7% in the control group (χ 2=4.848, P<0.05); Abdominal distension occurred 4.9% in the observation group, and 16.1% in the control group (χ 2=4.219, P<0.05); The incidence of vomiting was 1.6% in the observation group, and11.5% in the control group (χ 2=4.816, P<0.05). Conclusions: In the process of low birth weight infants nursing, early nursing intervention can effectively reduce the incidence of feeding intolerance and improve feeding condition in preterm infants, and make the infants earlier to reach full enteral feeding, shorten the hospitalization time, reduce the use of parenteral nutrition.
