Abstract

Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is a growing health problem in Saudi Arabia. Poorly controlled diabetes is a major health concern which increases the risk of macrovascular and microvascular complications. Glycemic control in patients with diabetes is affected by multiple social, economic, and cultural factors. Identification of factors associated with glycemic control and diabetes complications is important for establishment of community-based prevention and intervention strategies. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the glycemic control and diabetes complications in patients with T2DM.
