Abstract

Glucocorticoids (GCs) are widely available over the counter, liberally recommended by local medical practitioners, and widely misused by women for the treatment of febrile illnesses, joint pains, asthma, and skin conditions. Unfortunately, females misuse a lot of over-the-counter GCs and glucocorticoid-containing cosmetic creams, both imported and locally blended to deposit fat as a connect of beauty and propensity. The objectives of the study were to evaluate the epidemiologic and sociodemographic characters of GC misuse among reproductive women in South of Iraq.
