Abstract

The first step in diagnosing Pheochromocytomas and Paragangliomas (PPGLs) is proper biochemical analysis to confirm the presence of excess production of catecholamines or their metabolites. The interpretation of results can be challenging in daily clinical practice because false-positive results are common.
