Abstract

Rathke’s cleft cysts (RCC) are benign epithelium-lined cysts in the pituitary gland that arise from the remnants of Rathke’s pouch. RCC rarely cause symptoms. However, there are case reports of RCC causing water and electrolyte disorders with associated pituitary dysfunction most often due to suprasellar compression effects. We present a case of syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) in the setting of suspected RCC hemorrhage.
