Abstract

Tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO), is a rare paraneoplastic syndrome characterized associated with persistent hypophosphatemia due to renal phosphate wasting. TIO is caused by tumoral overproduction of fibroblast growth factor 23(FGF23).
