Abstract

Spindle cell neoplasms (SCNs) of the thyroid are rare, and can be classified into benign and malignant lesions. Benign SCNs are described as isolated tumors within the thyroid parenchyma that are composed of spindle-shaped cells. Medullary and anaplastic carcinoma of the thyroid are among the most well-established malignancies of the thyroid with spindle cell features.
