Abstract
Insulin autoimmune syndrome (IAS) is a rare cause of hypoglycemia in which an autoantibody binds large quantities of insulin in the circulation. The syndrome has been described in Japanese with the HLA-DR4 genotype, as a sequel of drugs such as antibiotics, and also in association with myeloma or monoclonal gammopathy.
