Abstract
Enlargement of a multinodular goiter is a common finding which can result in compression of structures in the vicinity. A rare example is arterial compression by a large substernal goiter that can compromise cerebral blood flow. We present a unique case of an enlarged thyroid, which caused substantial compression of the left common carotid artery leading to ischemic stroke.
