Abstract
The length of sexual abstinence preceding sperm collection is an important variable when performing a semen analysis. There is a lack of consensus in the literature on the optimal period of ejaculatory abstinence for achieving maximum semen quality. Our objective was to assess the effect of short and long sexual abstinence periods on routine and advanced sperm tests.
