Abstract

Local-duality properties of an absorption-model Regge-cut amplitude have been investigated in detail. Contrary to previous assertions, we find that this example does not clarify the question of local duality. First, the structure present in the total cross-section does not arise from leading $J$-plane singularities, and, second, the angular momentum content of the bump structure makes it difficult to associate with resonant behavior.
