Abstract

The shift with concentration variation of the optical absorption of the K band in KCl:KBr mixed crystals is studied, by use of point-ion and ion-size correction models. Gaussian wave functions were used for the ground and excited states. The K band in KCl:KBr was also experimentally studied. It is found that the point ion model produced better agreement with the experimental results
