Abstract

The effect of the diffractional minimum, seen in electron scattering on three-body nuclei, is studied in the pion absorption reaction with the subsequent emission of two energetic nucleons. The calculation is performed in the energy region of the first pion-nucleon resonance. The effect of pion rescattering is taken into account. It is shown that the completely symmetricS-component of the ground-state wave function for3H and3He nuclei with and without the core part causes the different behaviour of the differential cross-section and therefore additional information on the diffractional minimum can be gained. A specific and experimentally easily realizable kinematics is suggested.
