Abstract

The absorption coefficients of photons have been measured at 10 GeV in CH2 and C, and at 13.5 GeV in Li, C, Cu and Pb. The detection system consisted of a pair spectrometer with two total absorption lead glass Cerenkov counters. A band of γ-rays of ±11% around the centre value was used. Within their experimental accuracies of (2÷5)% our results agree with the theoretical values.
