Abstract

In order to determine the geometry of a regularly shaped crystal for absorption purposes, X-ray silhouette photographs are taken of the specimen mounted on a Eulerian cradle in a number of orientations. From these photographs the coordinates of crystal apices are determined by least-squares equations, which are derived in this paper.
