Abstract
The problem of electromagnetic plane wave scattering by one-dimensional periodic structures composed of cylindrical radially inhomogeneous absorbing elements of black hole type is considered. Two algorithms corresponding to the cases of E- and H-polarization and accounting for the features of the black holes are developed on the basis of the hybrid projection method for solution of the problem. A number of numerical results characterizing both the effectiveness of the algorithms themselves and the properties of the black-hole-based absorbing structures are presented and discussed.
