Abstract

Abstract An absolute measurement of the (110) scattering factor f of single-crystal vanadium has been performed using monochromatic Ag Kα radiation. The result for f (15·75±0·25) agrees with a previous measurement on a powder sample and confirms that the difference between experimental crystal values and free-atom calculations for vanadium are much smaller than those for chromium.
