Absolute electron capture cross sections of Kr[sup +] with Ar

Abstract

Absolute differential and total cross sections for single electron capture were measured for Kr+ ions on Ar in the energy range of 0.3 to 5.0 keV. The laboratory angular scan for the distributions ranged from −4.0 to 4.0 degrees. The absolute total cross section shows an oscillatory behavior. The total cross section is compared with other available measurements and with a semiempirical model. The results are in good agreement with previous measurements and the semiempirical model.
