Abstract

Along with the recent development of flow cytometry and monoclonal antibody, cell quantitative analysis has widely appied to laboratory detections and related studies, such as the counting of CD34+ T lymphocyte in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, which can confirm the success of vitality for stem cell. CD4+ T lymphocyte absolute accounting method can make a good diagnostic for immunodeficiency and make an evaluation for curative effect. Currently, there are two methods for the counting of flow cytometry, namely dual-platform and single-platform. This article introduces dual-platform and single-platform of flow cytometry absolute counting methods, and summarizes the principles of flow cytometry absolute counting methods provided by different manufacturers and advantages as well as disadvantages of those methods. Clinical applications of flow cytometry absolute counting methods also have concluded. All contents which we have discussed are aimed at providing reference to the most suitable absolute counting methods of flow cytometry in clinical laboratory.
