Abstract

It is found that a laser with an anisotropic cavity containing an absorbing medium may exhibit no response of the output radiation intensity to the modulation of the optical density of the absorbing medium in the presence of a magnetic field. The conditions when this effect may be observed are determined, and its possible applications are briefly discussed.
