Abstract
Background: Transcranial Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (tPEMF) is similar to Low Field Magnetic Stimulation. The results of tPEMF for treatment resistant depression (TRD) look promising: substantial improvement of depressive symptoms in patients with TRD has been shown, but this has not been replicated yet. Also, no information on long-term antidepressive effects of tPEMF exists. The aim of this study was to investigate the short- and long-term efficacy of tPEMF in participants with TRD.
