Abstract

AbstractCallus cultures of Populus×euramericana cv. ‘NL‐B‐132’ derived from stem and leaf tissue were compared for their content of abscisic acid and defense reactions against the basidiomycete Phaeolus schweinitzii. The callus from stems showed higher ABA‐contents and a more pronounced defense reaction in comparison with leaf callus.
