Abstract

Switching power supply is an essential power supply method that exists in the development of the electronic information industry. Drive power supply has various quality problems, primarily due to the loss of power inductors; for power inductor capacity testing, making a feasibility assessment is of great significance. In this study, we present a wavelet-based approach for detecting sudden changes in the power inductor current curve. To reliably identify rapid changes in the saturation of the inductor current after energization, the discrete wavelet transform is utilized to analyze the signal within a specified subset of all scaling and translation values, displaying different local signal characteristics.
