Abstract

We study p-polarized nonlinear surface polaritons (NLSP) propagating along the interface of an epsilon-near-zero metamaterial with saturable nonlinearity and an optically linear medium. On the base of the exact solution of Maxwell’s equations, the above-light-line NLSP propagation and energy properties were investigated. Distributions of the NLSP magnetic and electric fields were studied. The results have been compared with the same for Kerr-like nonlinearity.
