Abstract

Within the framework of world globalization, weakening of the position of monolingualism and appearance of bi- and multilingualism, there is a need for the formation of new interdisciplinary directions studying the problem of «con-
frontation» of different languages in a particular territory.
The study demonstrates the interaction of such scientific areas as emotive linguoecology and migration linguistics. On their theoretical basis we analyze linguistic means representing the kaleidoscopic nature of the «opposition» concept. The concept and its components are described from the perspective of four discourses: political, police, journalistic and musical. The article determines the main projections of the confrontation discourse, key subjects and objects presented in conflict situations.
