Abstract

This article provides important information about the lexical layers in the translation into old Uzbek language of Sharafuddin Ali Yazdi’s “Zafarnoma”, the process of borrowing the loan words from other languages. It has been proved in the process of analyzing the loan words in the work “Zafarnoma” that the Iranian words entered the old Uzbek literal language through oral language, literatures and other ways, whereas the Arabic words firstly came through books, madrassas, religion and secondly through the Tajik language.
