Abstract

Each transmission line can be characterized by some function h(/spl omega/) in such a way that: function exp(i/spl omega/t) given at z=0, generates function exp(i/spl omega/t-ih(/spl omega/)z) that arises at z/spl ges/0. Assume that at /spl omega//spl rarr//spl infin/ function h(/spl omega/)/spl rarr//spl omega//c; more exactly: the limit of the phase velocity /spl omega//h(/spl omega/) at infinite large frequency is c. The velocity c is introduced in the theory in this way. This assumption is not connected with the relativistic limitation. It is known that there are no relativistic limitation on the value of the group velocity (dh/d/spl omega/)/sup -/1.
