Abstract

The possible reasons for the low tool life used in the injection pultrusion process in the manufacture of long fiberglass products with a tongue-and-groove cross-section are determined. The types of defects and their location on the surfaces of injection boxes and the die are studied. The analysis of the changing state of the molded material (fiberglass filler/binder) during its stretching through the heated die and curing is performed.
