Abstract

Mathematical formulations of nonlinear optimal control problems for elliptic equations with mixed derivatives and unbounded nonlinearity, with controls in the coefficients multiplying the highest derivatives are studied. Finite difference approx-imations of optimization problems are constructed, and the estimates for approximation accuracy with respect to the state are obtained.
