Abstract
El aborto habitual se define como la expulsión espontánea y consecutiva de por lo menos tres gestaciones de hasta 12 semanas de duración. Para que un agente infeccioso se pueda calificar de causante de aborto habitual, este debe permanecer vivo y virulento en el huésped, sintomáticamente o no, por un período lo suficientemente largo de tiempo como para lesionar a tres gestaciones en forma consecutiva.
