Abortion is the involuntary loss of the products of conception prior to viability [1]
According to WHO [2] two of every unsafe abortions globally occur among women aged 15-30 and 14% occur among women not yet 20 years old
Post Abortal care services have been significantly scaled-up in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria, Malawi, Niger, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe [8]

Abortion is a major public health challenge that could be a contributory factor to the high maternal mortality rate in country.
