Abstract

In this work, we´ve taken as the study object, reading, by means of a discursive perspective, the work Incident in Antares (2006), by Erico Verissimo. The aim of the present work is to view the brunt between the capitalist and the discursive formation of resistance in the socio-historical context of the dictatorial period. The structuring axis of the analysis is the notion of discursive formation, in particular, the capitalist system (the Colonel Vacariano Tiberius) and resistance (of Gemini Ramos, union leader and of the lawyer Cicero White), from which we seek to clarify the ways in which these subjects identify/against-identify or unidentify themselves with knowledges/ powers constituting the FD where they subscribe themselves, and the meanings of urban space in the city of Antares.
