Abstract

“Weaver,” a neurological disorder in mice is transmitted by an incompletely dominant gene. Both the heterozygous carrier and homozygous weaver mice show alterations in the cytoarchitectonics of the cerebellum. However, no behavioral abnormalities of cerebellar disorder can be detected in the heterozygous carrier. Studies with autoradiography showed that the alterations in the cytoarchitectonics of both the heterozygous carrier and homozygous weaver cerebellums are associated with a reduced rate of granule cell migration.
