Abstract

Meningitis and myelitis are a very rare atypical presenting feature of anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. We describe an unusual clinical presentation of anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, the first case with a typical picture of meningitis followed by encephalitis, the second case with myelitis followed by psychiatric prodroma. We aim to widen the differential diagnosis in two patients presenting with clinical meningitis and myelitis followed by other common clinical symptoms and signs.
