Abstract

Three-dimensional (3D) super-structure Sb nanocages and One-dimensional (1D) Sb nanowires were successfully synthesized via a facile electrochemical deposition method. The structures of the samples were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and UV-vis spectrophotometry. In addition, the photoelectric performances and the magnetic properties of the samples were investigated. It is disclosed that the nanostructured Sb could be a promising candidate for photovoltaic material. Magnetization measurement indicates that 3D super-structure Sb nanocages show paramagnetic behavior at room temperature and ferromagnetism at 5K.
