Abstract
Quantum corrections to the semiclassical expression for the energy density of a dense fermion medium interacting with a scalar-meson field are computed. More specifically, all second-order terms in the previously introduced high-density, weak-coupling expansion are calculated. It is found that the resulting correction is not independent of the scalar-field vacuum expectation values, as was found to be the case for the first-order term.
