Abstract

The angular distribution of laser ablated particles from silver irradiated at 355 nm has been studied. The angular distribution from craters prepared by more than 104 shots exhibits only minor changes compared with that from a non-irradiated target. The distribution from artificial cylindrical craters of a depth comparable to the laser spot dimensions is about one order of magnitude smaller at large exit angles than that from a flat target.
