Abstract

A patient presented with an abnormal termination of the common bile duct and the pancreatic duct into the first part of the duodenum. During partial gastrectomy for a duodenal ulcer situated immediately over the opening of these ducts, the latter were accidentally exteriorized into the general peritoneal cavity, with a fatal outcome in seven days. Surgical management of the patient is discussed.
